Can't believe my six-month internship at Disney is coming to an end already.

It's been such a journey and I don't feel particularly happy or sad leaving this place.

I miss home, and I'm sure I'll miss this place too.

Mixed feelings.

This year, I wanted a simple birthday.

No celebrations, no nothing.

However, I got more than what I expected.

Firstly, it's the first time someone surprised me at 12mn at my place? Thanks to jo for being ever so sweet !

My mom wrote me this super sweet and sentimental card and it made me weep like a baby. She also laminated a picture I drew of our family when I was young. I don't even rmb drawing that picture. W t f right.

I got to catch up with friends whom I've not talked to in ages, less say wish them happy birthday.

I mean, it's really sweet that they still bother to wish you happy birthday when you're not really close to them anymore ! The feeling's really sweet and nice !

I read through all the letters my friends and I used to write to each other and they were so lame ! But it was really cute and nice ! Nostalgic like shit !

Anw I really hate my big finger knuckles cause I can't fit a super chio ring that I bought from f21 ! I am really upset ! =(

I figured I should just do a post since I don't really want my blog to die down. Just yet.

I also had some self realisation and reflection about me, myself and I.

I realised that I would prefer not to stay friends with people whom I have drifted with, even if it's just a little bit. I just think it is too much work for me cause there's a reason for the drift in the first place. Guess I'm not much of the effort type of person. Easier to leave it that way then to clear up the mess and make things work when it might not work out again.

Therefore, I truly treasure the very limited no. of friends that I have left due to my weird character.

Also, I am extremely independent now. I used to be all reliant and dependent but not anymore. I am perfectly fine with going out myself and all. Guess that's just me.

I think people are afraid of me just because I appear to be distant and strong and independent and all. I'm really not, maybe I'm just not that keen in making friends.

Advice to myself: Time to soften up.

I am thankful that OIPP for disney is back.

Although this means that I'm wasting half a year after graduation just to go, I wouldn't mind wasting a little bit of my life just to make myself happier.

I need a getaway so bad. You have no idea.

And if all else goes through, my attachment officially ends 28th Feb. Flying off on 11 March.

BUT, big but there, everything is unconfirmed yet. I have just expressed my interest and I'll have to see if I get through the interviews and all !

I really hope I do, and I'm so gonna act friendly w the interviewer and tell him/her abt my recent experience to US ! =D

VERY VERY looking forward to this new step in my life ! I hope being independent without a maid and family for like 6 mths would make me more mature and start to grow up ! =)

Sorry for the lack of posts cause as a matter of fact there's really nth interesting that's happening in my life right now.

Less than a mth till I'm gg on my US trip ! I am excited abt being there but not at all looking forward to the long flight. I am really afraid that I'll get motion sickness ! =((((( It is very likely. And I don't exactly recover fast. So there you go. I'm gonna spoil everybody's mood.

Some of the more interesting things that've happened in my not so interesting life.

1. My phone bill was 202 last mth. 140 belonging to 3G data charges. I think I accidentally connected it to the 3G instead of WIFI.
2. I stepped on a thumbnail near a noticeboard in school today. The first time I felt so pathetic in my life.

Allow me to elaborate more on the thumbnail situation. So I was walking ALONE along a corridor, and I walked particularly fast. By the time I realised there was something pricking me, it was all too late. There was no blood involved but I really can't tell you how much the sharp pain hurt cause as I said, I was walking along a corridor, so I damn fucking geh kiang wanted to walk to somewhere with lesser people WHILE THE NAIL IS STILL IN MY SANDAL, which caused more pain. After 2 steps I figured I couldn't walk any further and I just squat down and tried to remove the fucking thumbnail along the corridor looking all pathetic with my laptop and my heavy bag on me. Story of my life.

Anw, I just saw sex and the city's trailer on tv ! Looks nice ! I totally wanna catch it ! but I haven't caught sex and the city 1 ! Gonna find a way to watch it first !

I want to get the motorola milestone. It costs 98 bucks w his plan. Means I waste 100 bucks of the voucher.

Iphone 3gs 32gb costs 158 w his plan. Ok means either phone I get, I get it free cause it's below 200 bucks.

I TOTALLY WANT MILESTONE OVER IPHONE, BUT IPHONE'S SO MUCH MORE WORTH IT DAMN IT.

Ok the ending to the pupil totally sucked like shit. I caught some of the episodes on xinmsn.com ! It's replacing mobtv and we can totally watch it for freeeee !

Main point being it's just like some normal video streaming website which means I am no longer restricted to using lame Windows just to watch them ! Coolz to the max ! I'm so happy over the service that I'm not tired for bed yet !

The other best news is that my fav drama is gonna be aired on chn u from like 15th April onwards at 10pm ! Totally gonna catch it again despite watching it like 4 to 5 times alr, like no joke. I love my queen ! My idol's inside and she's super pretty omg I am in love w her nose !

Malacca was fine except the fact that there's nth much there to buy which means I only managed to get like 3 tees and a dress that wasn't to die for but I just got it for the sake of it !

And during the night, I bought like 3 herbal tea eggs back to the hotel and only got to eat them when they were already cold and stuff. Main point is, eating 2 eggs in the middle of the night is the worst mistake of my life, EVER. I felt damn unwell but I thought I would just you know, sleep it off.

So in the morning I felt really cold, cause of the aircon everywhere including the toilet, so whatever. I tried to have waffles from A&W for breakfast but I only managed to eat abt half of it? Then I went to walk ard the mall w my mom. Then I felt REEEEEALLY unwell. It still wasn't that bad yet. I tried to poop but to no avail.

Ok so we checked out and got on the bus. Ok so I tried to keep calm and all, asked my mom for some pills and tried to sleep. The worst part was when my dad's friend bought food and brought it on the bus, smell was tooooo frigging heavy. But it was kinda a good thing too. BECAUSE I ACTUALLY BARFED RIGHT THEN AND THERE. Thank god I always have a plastic bag in my bag. Like w t f seriously ! I felt so much better after ! =D

I am totally fine now but main point is my mom is totally worried about me gg US. She thinks I won't be able to survive. My stomach is damn weak and I seriously think if I fall sick during the plane ride, the whole trip is gone. I'm gonna stay at the hotel for the whole of the 11 days. Or maybe I should barf and shop at the same time. Hold the plastic bag everywhere I go ! NOT.

I better not frigging fall sick. It must be the damn herbal tea eggs ! I am so gonna boycott eating eggs in the morning and at night. My stomach's the most fragile at these times.

Everyone has a fair share of heartbreaks. There are only 2 scenarios. The heartbreaker or the casualty.

Maybe some people choose to be the heartbreaker to avoid being the casualty. As much as we know that's the lousiest reason ever, that's all the truth there is to it.

In most cases, the hurt inflicted on both sides are equal.

But there are also the rare cases where people are so used to being the heartbreaker they're numb to feeling anything. Those are the minority.

Today I caught Diary of a wimpy kid and When in rome w hx ! Main point is, both movies are not bad with a rating of 3 out of 5 stars and the kid in Diary of a wimpy kid is super cute ! I totally want my kid to turn out like him ! He is sooooo not wimpy !

I'm once again blogging at an hour like this cause I fail to fall asleep ! So anyways, my maid's leaving on the 23rd and I'll have to do chores for 2 weeks.

She tells me that she's really excited abt gg home and haven't been able to fall asleep these few days too. I feel her.

I simply cannot imagine being in another country for so long without my family or relatives. At least we have computers. We can skype.

She can only hear their voices. She told me her granddaughter is 8mths alr or sth. She's like 40 plus this year. Her son's 20 plus.

She didn't get to see it when her granddaughter was born. How sad is that? But she's ever so contented w life.

Something to think about I guess. Being contented about life I meant.

I'm kinda rolling in bed thinking of my soon-to-be phone and where I should sell my bb and it suddenly struck me.

The only reason why I would NOT want to get the new phone. I am so devastated right now !

I buy tech stuff willingly cause I change them every few mths or so? I bought my bb in aug last year.

Main point being, it has got to have a resale value. Fuck if I spend 800 odd on that phone and no one appreciates jap phones like I do or even know thr existence of that particular phone, how the heck am I gonna sell it away? I think by the time I wanna change it, it'd still be worth 600 at least?

I've thought through lots of things yesterday.

I don't get why people live in denial and yet we can't really see through all the false pretenses. I mean, including our own.

Maybe we are too busy with trying to put that fake mask on and ignoring what's real.

Yesterday, I saw a piece of myself that I never thought existed. However, it felt real.

From now on, I am done with dealing with people who prioritize others over me. I am only going to care about people who prioritize me. And I damn well know who these people are. How do I know who's real and who's not? They do it through actions, not through words.

And although I realised that there are too many friends for benefits in my life, but I don't feel sad or anything for letting them go, from myself. I know it sounds really weird but that's how I feel.

You might think this is just a lame piece of entry but really, I think this is the truest and most precise reflection of my thoughts. Pardon me for my lame language.

I realised that, when you do superficial things, you get superficial returns. For eg, you befriend someone popular and you become popular. You get whole lot of new friends and all, but they're only your friends because of your popularity, nothing else. You might even lose your true friends during the time.

But when you do real things like being there for a friend, you get a true friend out of it. Isn't it great?

From now on, I shall only be true to people I want to be true with. Rest of them? No regrets from letting them go from my life. They're just something I deem as, superficial.

I don't need or want superficial things in my life.

I have enough of them.

p.s: Now for the superficial stuff, there isn't any phone that I want to change to for now ! My plan's eligible for upgrading soon ! Maybe I should just get a free phone for my mom and use the money I saved on ipad? I don't know man ! Ipad is cool but it's also a waste of money ! ARGH dilemma !

My mom suddenly asked me about where I want to go for uni.

I told her about the one year degree thing which sim offers that collaborates with some switzerland uni that's offering hospitality courses. The cert I'm getting would be from the switzerland uni ! But it involves studying in sim for 6 mths and the other 6 at the overseas uni.

My mom claims it's a waste of time. As in for the first 6 mths in sim. And we really don't know if the swiss uni is recognised or not. I really don't wish to waste my time. So she asked me if there's anywhere else I want to go to. She suggested canada and all, but really, I haven't done ANY form of research on that. I should start now. Canada sounds good though.

I don't think she's gonna let me end up in sim. -_-

Anw the disney/universal orlando attachment thing is most likely not happening but whatever, I've given up on that alr. My mom was being really nice by saying that we could still go there on a trip ! I really hope it's gonna be this year !

Ok so once again, I'm really sick and tired of my parents bugging me to get my license.

They were like, others scrimp and save for it and we're paying it for you and you don't wanna go take it. We're gg overseas on thur, imagine if you had a license now, you could drive daddy's car alr !

Like hello, seriously I'm not that interested in the free car usage. I can always take public transport. I don't want to be so dependent on cars till the point that I refuse to take public and only go for cabs.

But whatever, they also said that sooner or later I gotta get my license, which is true, so I might as well do it asap.

I still prefer people driving me ard rather than me driving myself ard. =( Where's the fun in that?

Ok here's my review of the thing.

The mouse is a little too heavy for me and although it's like a magic mouse, which means you get to scroll by touching on the surface of the mouse and get to flip photos and webpages when u flip w two fingers, it's still too heavy for my liking. However, I like the whole wireless concept. The keyboard and mouse are all wireless. The only wire present is the one connecting the screen to the power socket. And just in case you didn't know, there's no cpu for an imac. The whole processor is like kinda in the screen itself, So there are only 3 things. Screen, mouse and keyboard. Keyboard's a little too small for my liking. -_-

I really need to start getting used to sitting sooooo close to a 27inch screen and trying to divert my eyes all the way across the screen. I need to adapt fast enough before I boycott and leave my imac there to rot and go back to my macbook pro. I really love my notebook ! =(

And on the first page of the manual it says 'Congratulations, you and your imac were made for each other.' It made me smile like a mofo to myself. Hahaha I love how they're so creative !
